Iron Chef America Top 10 Greatest Moments
November 28, 2008 on 11:50 am | In Videos | CommentsIn battle garlic against Iron Chef Mario Batali I presented the judges with a split squab head, and instructed the judges to suck the brains out. This moment has been given the honor of being number 3 on the top 10 greatest moments. This is a huge surprise since there have been so many amazing chefs who have done many amazing things in stadium kitchen.

That reference to Damien Hirst was just perfect!
“Alas poor Yorick…” also springs to mind.

Chris, you should’ve been one place higher in my opinion. I know Iron Chef is an entertainment show, but I’ve never really found Gennaro Contaldo especially entertaining. (He’s on TV a lot here in the UK)
However, well done for the recognition!

Whenever I tell stories about Iron Chef/going to San Fran and to your place, that is always one of my favorites to tell. I was smitten with those words.

For the record, I thought the clove garlic clutched in the claw was not only an inspired stroke, but also truly quite beautiful.
